Based in the Cotswolds I take my inspiration from nature producing abstract, semi-abstract and realistic work. My work is produced by looking at the finer details of nature such as lichen, tree bark, pebbles on the beach and then working intuitively to explore new techniques, mark-making, textures and, above all, colour. All these things help me produce paintings that are full of energy and most importantly, colour. Originally from the South Coast of England it is no surprise that the sea is also a great source of interest and inspiration.
