Caroline J Evans MA
My artwork has always been inspired by natural forms and, most recently, the extraordinary beauty and form of flowers has become my main focus.
I work predominantly in oils depicting various blousey blooms in gorgeous floral combinations and cropped compositions which fill the entire canvas.
In addition, I make single flower studies of garden and wild flowers over serendipitous grounds of acrylic inks which tend to dictate what I paint on top. This approach combines surprise elements with botanical art giving a sense of the environment in which the flower exists.
I have recently become a full-time artist, after 26 years of teaching art in independent schools. I live and work in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and have a BA (Hons) in Illustration from the Kent Institute of Art & Design and an MA (Dist) in Artist Teacher Practice from Oxford Brookes University.
I am always very happy to discuss commissions and run a small business, Forever Bouquet Fine Art, where I make bespoke art works of special occasion flowers.
